Mel Zuniga graduated from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, in 2024, where she earned her Bachelor of Arts and completed a research based internship focused on vision therapy. During her internship, she explored innovative evidence-based treatment approaches for patients with traumatic brain injuries and developmental eye conditions, strengthening her passion for improving individuals' quality of life.

Mel has gained experience working with a diverse vision therapy population through her volunteer work in Mexico and Jamaica, where she used her skills to help expand access to vision care and deepen her understanding of holistic, patient-centered treatment. Her bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English strengthens patient communication and education.

Outside of work, Mel enjoys hiking with her twin dogs and watching movies."
